Weathering the Future’s official launch is today!

Weathering the Future launches today, 2-4pm, Saturday 8 December 2018, at Backspace Gallery, Camp St, Ballarat. Nibbles and drinks provided.

We are pleased to welcome Cr Belinda Coates as a representative of the City of Ballarat, whose community arts program has made the exhibition possible.

Art Gallery of Ballarat director Louise Tegart will do the official honours, especially apt as Backspace has recently been moved under the management of the Art Gallery.

As a special treat for the opening, Reuben Morgan will perform his instrumental piece “Mother Earth”, inspired by the exhibition theme.

As more than a year’s worth of planning comes to fruition, all are welcome to join us in this celebration. As the exhibition suggests, the future is being made now. Please enjoy these peeks at the possibilities!

Backspace Gallery is open today from noon, and from noon to 4pm, Thursdays to Sunday, until and including Sunday 23 December.
