Performers of prose, poetry and storytelling are invited to an open mic event at the Smythesdale Community Music and Art Fiesta on Sunday October 20.
It incorporates the Woady Words open mic poetry competition, with full details of that to be available on the day.
The event is at Throo the Gate Cafe, 42 Brooke St, from 2pm.

A packed house for the August edition saw a full program that included an ekphrastic piece and a slice of play. “Breaking the ice” proved a popular theme; the heaters were cranked up.
